GETTING STARTED
For some, even the thought of beginning counseling can seem a bit daunting. Below is a step by step guide to walk you through it.
1. KNOW YOUR WHY
Ask yourself what you are hoping to gain from counseling so you are able to convey that to your counselor. Whether it is go gain support, relief, insight, healing, goal setting, accountability, or other reasons, its important to know why you are seeking counseling.
2. DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS?
Perhaps you have read through the website and still find you are uncertain of how a method works, or if something would be a good fit for your situation. Feel free to send an email about it. A free 10 minute phone consultation is also another option, just complete the contact form and ask to schedule a consultation.
3. EVALUATE YOUR FINANCES
Payment will be required at each session unless a prior plan is in place. It is important to be ready for this. Make a budget and know how many sessions per month you are able to afford. Also read through the Pricing Page to gain a better understanding of what this might look like.
4. SCHEDULE
Email or call to check availability of sessions. While online counseling certainly has its perks when it comes to convenience, not all session time slots may be available. Have an idea of some days and times that might work best for you and check for availability. Once a good time has been identified, its time to get scheduled.
4. CHECK YOUR EMAIL!
After scheduling, you should receive an email with further instructions and paperwork. It is important to have all instructions and paperwork completed prior to your first session!
